Keep those ears warm and look stylish and hip at the same time with this cable ear flap hat knitting pattern! These cabled ear flap hats work up quickly in either worsted or chunky weight yarn. This easy knitting pattern is a great way to start knitting cables, and it includes instructions on cabling without a cable needle.

Finished Size:
18", 22"

Gauge:
4.5 sts/1" in stockinette stitch for worsted weight
3 sts/1" in stockinette stitch for chunky weight

Yarn:
200 yards of worsted weight OR 150 yards of chunky weight

Needles:
16" circular and double-pointed needles — Size 8 for worsted weight
OR Size 10.5 for chunky weight
